Senior Business Directors Wanted for Summer Support
We are looking for Senior Business Directors to support a fantastic media agency across the summer months. Media Agency experience running large accounts and / or running a pitch is necessary.
Do not apply if you do not have Media Agency experience.
Contract type: Contract – 2+ months
Location: London – 3 days per week in office
Reporting to: Managing Partner, Client Services
About the Role
The Business Director is responsible for leading a team and driving excellence in strategy, planning, and client management. They create the optimum conditions to achieve shared business, team, and client goals and objectives through effective leadership. They’re experts in invention-led planning and drive towards the agency mission.
Management & Leadership
- Set the tone and pace for the team through effective, flexible situational leadership.
- Skilfully delegate and focus efforts on areas that will deliver most business impact.
- Motivate and galvanise a team towards shared objectives.
- Set direct reports smart and motivating objectives to support development and progression.
- Manage resource needs and take a lead role in recruitment.
Craft
- Inspire the agency mission by focusing the team on opportunities to create high-profile, award-worthy work.
- Direct strategic responses to brief, ensuring clarity of roles and responsibilities throughout the planning process.
- Focus the team on invention and getting to good ideas.
- Maintain oversight of the flow of briefs, deliverables, and overall team output.
- Set clear goals linked to broader business objectives as part of team and client strategy.
- Lead new business opportunities, managing the team, pitch process, and deliverables.
- Play an inclusive and integrated role within the client department.

Clients
- Build strong, influential senior client relationships.
- Set the benchmark and coach gold-standard client servicing principles.
- Deliver the client roadmap by managing and reacting to challenge and change.
- Facilitate focused and productive client meetings with clear outcomes.
- Provide expertise and objective strategic advice.
- Make informed decisions when resolving client issues.
- Develop proactive ideas and initiatives.

Commercial
- Deliver sustainable profitability across a portfolio of clients.
- Manage client contracts, scope of work, and PRF frameworks, ensuring all contractual commitments are delivered against.

- Identify opportunities for growth linked to client business objectives.
- Ensure team time allocation is in line with commercial agreements set out within client contracts.
- Responsible for timely and accurate client forecasting and accountable for frictionless financial process across the team.

Skills
- Experience operating at Business Director level across a multitude of disciplines.
- Exceptional omnichannel capabilities across online and offline media.
- Exceptional knowledge across brand and performance disciplines, ideally with full-funnel experience.
- Experience working on key flagship accounts alongside the ability to flex down and support teams on smaller pieces of business.
- Excellent client servicing skills with the ability to build effective relationships and drive active advocacy with senior and day-to-day clients.
- Entrepreneurial flair to spot opportunities for clients and sell them in.
- Strong understanding of measurement and analytics to support planning decisions that meet client business goals.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to flex style.
- Demonstrates high levels of emotional intelligence.
- Authentic, committed, and resilient, with the ability to work at pace and multi-task.
- Passionate about inventive ideas and drives forward the agency mission.
- Creates a consistently positive personal impact.
