About the Role

As London continues to navigate evolving challenges and opportunities, this is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and support the delivery of engaging, compelling, and high-profile policy and public affairs output.

The Media & Communications Manager will be the primary point of contact for media enquiries, securing positive coverage of the LCCI’s policy positions and campaigns, and proactively identifying opportunities to further raise the profile of our work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary point of contact for media enquiries, building and maintaining strong relationships with journalists across national, London, and trade press.
  • Draft and distribute press releases, statements, and reactive lines with accuracy and speed.
  • Produce responses and briefings, including quotes for the CEO, which accurately reflect LCCI’s policy positions.
  • Monitor coverage and proactively identify opportunities to raise LCCI's profile.
  • Horizon scanning across Westminster, City Hall and the wider media environment.
  • Draft speeches, briefings, op-eds, and talking points for the CEO and the Head of Policy and Public Affairs (HoPPA).
  • Prepare senior figures for media appearances and public engagements effectively.

  • Support the Policy and Public Affairs team on effective campaign communications, translating policy work into compelling narratives for media, political stakeholders, LCCI Members, and the wider public.
  • Send drafted content to the HoPPA for approval, or CEO where required, in good time, ensuring all enquiries received are responded to.
  • Support the production of LCCI digital content.
  • Produce monthly media reports for the HoPPA and CEO.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of LCCI's communications strategy.
  • Support Policy and Public Affairs Team events where required.
  • Undertake additional duties requested by the HoPPA or CEO.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
