We are looking for a commercially driven Media Client Partner to join our EMEA Media team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious sales professional to manage and grow a portfolio of agency and client relationships while identifying new business opportunities across The Economist's premium media portfolio. Working with one of the world's most respected brands, you will play an important role in helping clients connect with influential global decision-makers through innovative, insight-led marketing solutions.

The Role

As a Media Client Partner, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of agency and client accounts across the UK and EMEA. You will develop a strong understanding of your clients' business objectives, identify new commercial opportunities and work collaboratively with colleagues across sales, strategy and campaign delivery to create impactful media partnerships.

This is a consultative sales role suited to someone who enjoys building relationships, uncovering opportunities and delivering outstanding client service while contributing to ambitious commercial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop relationships with media agencies and clients across the UK
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of accounts, developing a strong understanding of clients' business objectives and marketing priorities.
  • Identify new business opportunities through proactive prospecting, account planning and relationship development.
  • Meet and exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets.
  • Manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and pitching through to negotiation and campaign delivery.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of The Economist's media portfolio, including digital, print, podcasts, events, branded content and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Work closely with internal teams to develop creative, insight-led proposals that address client objectives.
  • Maintain accurate forecasting, pipeline management and account activity within Salesforce.
  • Represent The Economist Group professionally at client meetings, presentations and industry events, acting as an ambassador for one of the world's most respected media brands.

What We're Looking For

  • Relevant experience in media, advertising, B2B sales or National Press sales
  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding commercial targets.
  • Established agency relationships essential, Publicis Groupe would be a priority
  • Experience selling digital advertising, integrated media or marketing solutions is desirable.
  • Strong relationship-building, communication and presentation skills.
  • Commercially curious with the ability to understand client challenges and develop effective solutions.
  • Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce; familiarity with LinkedIn Sales Navigator or MediaRadar would be an advantage.
  • A collaborative team player with a positive attitude, strong work ethic and a desire to learn and develop.

Working Arrangements

The majority of our roles operate on a hybrid working pattern, with 3+ days office attendance required.
