About Bending Spoons

At Bending Spoons, we build globally recognised companies that drive meaningful impact. We acquire and grow exceptional digital businesses—tying every decision to brand-building, exceptional execution, and long-term success.

We thrive on agility, collaboration, and cutting-edge innovation, blending skilled teams with emerging technology to produce outstanding work at scale. From small, autonomous groups to integrating AI-first workflows, we combine startup energy with the long-term vision of a growth company.

This is your chance to grow fast, lead impactful projects, and shape the future with a team where your bold ideas create real value. Our mission is to empower outstanding people—whether you’re joining us directly out of school or are a seasoned creative looking for a transformative runway. If you’re driven, craft-minded, and commercially aware, we’d welcome your curiosity.

The Role

We’re growing our Design and Creative Services team, seeking a senior, ambitious professional who creates bold, culturally resonant visual work. This is an opportunity to lead production, mentor colleagues, and innovate with today’s best tools—with design problem-solving at your core.

Core Responsibilities

  • Design Vision & Delivery – Profoundly shape every deliverable—social content, product visuals, brand assets, and presentations—ensuring they’re visually brilliant, strategically impactful, and urgently dependable. – Lead a cross-section of disciplines (graphic design, motion, illustration, UX/UI, branding) with care for technical and conceptual excellence. – Work across workflows efficiently while maintaining perfection of craft.

  • Continuous Growth & Innovation – Master your primary craft (motion design, graphic design, 3D, UI, illustration, UX/UI, etc.) and increase your versatility to own new challenges. – Stay ahead of AI’s impact to enhance creative thinking, expand possibilities, and accelerate production without compromising quality. – Explore evolving trends in design, storytelling, and workflow tech—rapidly adopting and mastering what’s practical and scalable.

  • Strategic, Team-Minded Leadership – Deliver under pressure. Juggle multiple briefs, maintain speed, and make judicious trade-offs to meet deadlines and budgets with outstanding quality. – Ground decisions in business outcomes. Understand who you’re making work for, what it achieves, and how it empowers your stakeholder. – Own spotting opportunities. Identify gaps, anticipate needs before briefs arrive, and select the most effective course of action before others ask.

  • Mentorship & Culture – Guide junior designers, fostering an environment of shared ambition and skill-sharing. – Argue for bold ideas but champion the best solutions across the team—without ego, with integrity. – Embrace a DIY, build-it-together mindset. Jump on new challenges, debug each other’s processes, and show up ready to learn.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

You Bring These To The Role

We’re looking for excellence in aptitude, application, and integrity. Imagine yourself here:

Key Attributes

✔ Critical thinking & problem-solving – Debate like an analyst: reason from first principles, diagramm above ethical shortcuts, test assumptions, and spot unappreciated details. – Work on perceived problems—not just gifted briefs. Offer ideas both bold and grounded before anyone asks for them.

✔ Tireless drive & responsibility – More than “hustle”—it’s flawless execution, the unforgiving pursuit of mastery, and a no-giveaws approach to iterative improvement. – Accept responsibility beyond your natural domain: gap-filling and client-inducing design observational psychology. Lean into inconvenience. Dedication and good faith always pay higher returns than merely compliance.

✔ Team ethos – Put blending your skills with others ahead of “my contribution.” Your growth won’t be judged by ones, but by directing collaborative brilliance. – Build fast. Rocket with peers on transformative projects. Make each project work better with you on it than without it.

✔ Scalable clutch – Comfortability in contrasting situations: the nuclear loop closing, leadership in sync across remote timezones.

Hard Requirements

📌 Enthusiasm for AI through a creative lens – AI isn’t replaceable; it’s democratizing transformative inquiries. Your edge lies in how you adapt this shift. 📌 Managerial level in visual creation – Years of proven, high-touch design work—whether motion, graphics, UI, branding, or illustration—that leaves measurable higher impact. 📌 A Midwest or Rust Belt take on precision – You’ve had moments where drafting is messy or confusing but ultimately pragmatics push it forward. 📌 Insist on standards – Are there accepted gray areas? You’ll write revisions to sharpen quality or find tools that help anchor it.

📌 Fluent English – Ambiguous communication doesn’t folder a proposal.

These You Will Grow With

Your career at Bending Spoons exists in two dimensions:

  1. Rapid advancement & acceleration – The compensation philosophy is dynamic and meritocratic. Compensation at entry points in London is £56,345 but grows fleetingly—so does the equity potential of senior, pivotal hires. – Translation of technical brilliance into value demands compensation that reflects impact, aligning with Benchmark trends for a high-performance business. – Industry recognition? Across global creative awards, we’ve set personal records. And you’ll have your own.

  2. A relentless reinvestment in you – Consultations with leadership to jointly resolve career questions & set ambitious horizons. – Flex work, learning budget & relocation help (especially for Milaners). – Sibling-squads for collaboration inside dynamic, ambitious teams. – A multi-modal life alongside generational creativity, mutual respect for learning, and being part of a portfolio company. – An opportunity to buy shares in Italy as early as opening day—at a discounted rate, obviously, because why on earth else support a business?
