Media Executive / PR Account Executive
Company: Profile — Thought Leadership PR Agency
Location: Old Street, London (Hybrid: 3 days in office / 2 days WFH)
We're hiring a Media Executive to land top CEOs, in-house experts, and senior leaders in Tier-1 national press, leading trade titles, and the best broadcast and podcast slots going.
We're a fast-growing, boutique PR and communications agency built around thought leadership. We partner with companies that market themselves on their expertise, whether it's professional services, tech, finance, healthcare, and beyond, to raise the profiles of their senior executives and in-house experts. Our belief is simple: the best way to market a company that competes on expertise is to put the insight and thinking of its experts front and centre.
We're also now taking our new product, Vantage, to market at scale. Vantage is an expert-led news and content hub for corporate clients who market themselves on their expertise, a single pooling point for every form of insight-led thought leadership they produce. As a Media Executive, you'll win the earned coverage that gives it credibility and reach.
THE ROLE
You'll be responsible for pitching senior leaders and in-house experts to global media and, above all, for writing the pieces that get them placed. Day to day, that means:
- Writing sharp, well-argued 800-word op-eds and articles in your clients' voices, for national and trade press
- Monitoring the media to spot the stories, trends, and breaking news your clients can jump on for comment
- Crafting angles that give your client's expertise and viewpoint real cut-through with journalists
- Turning that angle into an actual pitch, whether it's for an op-ed, interview, broadcast, or otherwise
- Drafting reactive quotes and comments that turn a news moment into coverage
- Drafting and distributing press releases when a client has news to announce
- Developing more bespoke pitches where the opportunity warrants it, including features and longer-form coverage
- Creating, updating, and managing media lists
- Briefing clients ahead of podcast and broadcast appearances
- Building relationships with the journalists covering your clients, including through occasional hospitality
- Ultimately, seeing coverage through from pitch through to publication, including drafting any of the content to get the opportunity over the line

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

OUR VISION
For companies that sell expertise, PR's job is no longer to win a moment of coverage but, instead, to make their experts findable. If content isn't retrievable in search and AI, its value dies in a blink. That's the biggest shift in our industry, and we're building the agency, and the product, Vantage, our living expert hub, to own it.
You'll be central to that. The coverage you win is what gives our clients' expertise third-party credibility: the reference points that journalists, search engines, and AI look for. Get that right across every client, and we build the leading agency in the category, taking the business from 15 people to over 100 in the coming years.
