Media Lecturer

Media Lecturer (Fixed Term for 9 Months – Covering Maternity Leave)

About the Role

ACC actively supports progression through teaching qualifications, from Level 4 CET through to Level 5, to support career development.


What You Will Do

You will be responsible for:

  • Delivering engaging, industry-informed teaching that prepares students for creative careers
  • Translating real-world experience into practical learning students can apply
  • Supporting learners to achieve strong outcomes and progression
  • Using digital tools and creative learning methods to enhance delivery
  • Contributing to a positive, professional, and creative campus culture
  • Collaborating with curriculum teams to improve teaching and outcomes

Additionally, you will:

  • Support student progress, attendance, and achievement
  • Participate in enrichment, events, and employer engagement activities
  • Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement
  • Work closely with safeguarding and inclusion teams to support learners
  • Represent the college at open events and recruitment activities

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Level 4 CET (Certificate in Education) or equivalent teaching qualification
  • Strong subject knowledge in a relevant creative discipline
  • Relevant industry experience or equivalent professional background
  • Proven ability to support learners achieving successful outcomes
  • Confidence in delivering engaging, practical, and applied teaching
  • Good communication, organisation, and digital skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding, inclusion, and high educational standards

Access Creative College (ACC) is the former Access to Music, founded in 1992. We are an Ofsted ‘Good’ provider with 7 campuses across the UK and over 2,500 students. As part of the Access Education Group, ACC is supported by 32 campuses nationwide, serving over 5,000 students and apprentices spanning ACC, dBs Institute (Higher Education), and Access Sport.
