Media Operations Manager

About Mediaplus UK

As part of the Serviceplan Group, Mediaplus UK is an independent media planning & buying agency which was founded in 1982 with a mission to shake up a network-dominated industry. Over 40 years on and we are still proudly independent, however, we have grown in size with over 160 employees across 3 UK offices in London, Manchester and Birmingham, as well as having our own behavioural consultancy, Behave.

We are the only media agency built on the principles of behavioural science. We combine best-in-class media, data & research to deliver authentic, creative and effective media solutions that address the real influences on people’s behaviour.

We work across the full spectrum of media planning and buying services, with fantastic teams dedicated to everything from client leadership and media planning/activation to SEO and influencer marketing as well as advanced data solutions.

The Role

We are looking for a Media Operations Manager to join our agency team. This role critical to ensuring our campaigns run smoothly, accurately, and at scale.

You will own and evolve the systems, tools, and processes that underpin everything we do — from how campaigns are built and trafficked, to how data flows between platforms, to how the team collaborates day to day. You will be the person others turn to when something is broken, unclear, or needs to be done better.

Beyond operations, you will bring strong hands-on experience with Campaign Manager 360, a working knowledge of the broader digital ad tech ecosystem, and the ability to support media finance reconciliation activity where needed. You are organised, methodical, and genuinely passionate about making things work well.

Key Responsibilities

Media Operations, Tools & Processes

This is the core focus of the role. You will be responsible for the operational infrastructure that enables the agency to deliver campaigns efficiently and consistently at scale.

  • Establishing, maintaining, and improving the processes, standards, and workflows that govern how campaigns are delivered across the agency.
  • Audit and optimise existing operational workflows, identifying friction points, manual bottlenecks, and opportunities to automate or streamline.
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard operating procedures (SOPs) across all key stages of campaign delivery - from briefing and setup through to reporting and post-campaign analysis.
  • Support the evaluation, onboarding of media operations tools and lead the day-to-day management of media operations tooling, ensuring the team is equipped with the right technology to work effectively.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for operational issues — triaging problems quickly, resolving root causes, and implementing preventative measures.
  • Drive consistency and quality across campaign builds through robust QA frameworks, naming conventions, and governance standards.
  • Champion a culture of operational excellence — proactively sharing knowledge, running team training sessions, and raising standards across the wider media team.
  • Collaborate closely with media planning, buying, data, and finance teams to ensure seamless handoffs and clear accountability at every stage of the campaign lifecycle.
  • Maintain a clear view of workload and capacity across the operations function, flagging risks early and managing priorities effectively.
  • Stay ahead of developments in ad tech, media tooling, and industry best practice — regularly assessing their relevance and impact on agency operations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
