Media Operator

Location: Leeds, UK (on-site)

Prime Focus Technologies (PFT) is the creator of Media Asset Management software, CLEAR™, and provides media operations services for the Media & Entertainment industry. Globally, PFT works with clients including Channel 4, ITV, Warner Brothers Discovery, Hearst UK, CBS Films, Tata Play, Star Sports, and many more.

PFT operates a state-of-the-art Media Centre in Leeds to deliver services specifically for Channel 4, supporting their entire broadcast library across shows including hit reality series like First Dates and Married at First Sight, unique documentaries such as 24 Hours in Police Custody, hard-hitting dramas like The Handmaid’s Tale, award-winning shows like Taskmaster and Gogglebox, as well as a range of live sports from international football and Paralympics to Formula 1.

Media Operators at PFT view a range of media formats and are responsible for reviewing and judging technical compliance of the content against defined standards; reporting on audio and video quality as well as performing fixes and re-mastering (editing) of the content. To support the nature of our customer’s operation, this role requires shift work covering 24hrs a day, 7 days a week at our Leeds Media Operations Centre.

Although not essential, the Media Operator role is well suited to someone who has a Media Degree with hands-on experience working in Adobe Premier Pro, or a similar edit suite. The unique nature of this position means that while there are some essential skills to ensure success, PFT will offer full training to ensure the chosen candidate has all the relevant skills to perform the role to the highest level and is able to meet our high standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
