Job Description

About the Role:

OMD Create are a team of 18 creative specialists in content, partnerships and experiences. We solve the kinds of challenges that traditional channels cannot, stretching what’s possible in media, across the full spectrum of OMD UK clients.

OMD Create are looking for a Media Partnerships Senior Executive to join them and help develop, stretch and deliver industry-leading creative solutions campaigns for a broad range of clients.

Reporting into a Media Partnerships Associate Director, you will be responsible for delivering culturally-relevant work outside traditional spots and space across a variety of media partners, including TV, social, digital, print, audio and influencers. You will work closely with wider agency teams to take an idea from inception to reality for a series of clients such as Aviva, PepsiCo, and British Gas. This role has a critical involvement in every stage of the creative solutions process, including strategic development, briefing, ideation, project management, activation, and distribution. The work is varied, the briefs are fun, the pace is quick but excitingly the possibilities are endless!

We Are Looking For Someone With Experience Of

  • The media landscape and advertising industry
  • Nurturing and growing relationships with media partners and key clients
  • Generating ideas which are rooted in insight, culture, and demonstrate innovation and bravery
  • Evaluating media partnerships activity
  • Presenting ideas confidently to clients
  • Project management across different campaign types (TV, radio, print, digital, influencers)
  • Booking partnership activity on Aura, Media Explorer / Maintenance
  • Collaborating with all parts of the agency (like investment, and client leadership) to get to the best outcomes for us and our clients.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with Partners (e.g. media partners and influencer agents)
  • Providing timely feedback to partners
  • Being solutions-orientated for any issues which arise
  • Management of multiple stakeholders (clients + partners)

Key Responsibilities

  • Involvement and delivery of a full partnership campaign cycle; from briefing and ideation stage to campaign execution, ensuring work is strategically sound, commercially robust, and creatively ambitious.
  • Project management of campaigns alongside your line manager and being a key point of call for day-to-day activity. Heavily involved in seamless project delivery between media partner / influencers and the client.
  • Work with our Creativity & Innovation team to stretch media partnership and influencer proposals to their best creatively and commercially.
  • Working with investment teams to review partnership media plans, ensuring agreed agency rates have been applied and negotiating in sufficient media added value.
  • Use DDS applications & Prisma to book signed off activity on the system and send IOs to the respective partner.
  • Involvement in upholding strong commercial consistency within the activity you work on, following the appropriate booking, billing processes.
  • Liaising and working collaboratively with wider OMD teams such as Investment, Campaign Management, Insight, and Client Leadership.
  • Regularly catching up with the wide range of media partners in market to stay informed about their platform channels and commercial offering as well as keeping abreast of potential client opportunities.

About You

  • Experience in media partnerships, at an agency or media owner.
  • Familiarity and strong interest in the media partnership and influencer marketing industries, with a good grasp on the latest trends and innovations in these spaces.
  • Familiarity with media and the advertising industry as well as OMD UK and its client base.
  • Experience in delivering partnership/influencer campaigns with media partners which integrate within broader media campaign plans.
  • Ability to define success metrics in line with campaign and brand objectives.
  • Experience and confidence in speaking with media owners and third parties about new briefs/campaigns.
  • Experience with core planning/buying tools & tech (e.g. DS Media, Techedge, Media Explorer, MX Stats, Prisma).
  • Ability to work collaboratively with key agency departments, including client leadership, creativity & innovation, decision sciences, and marketing teams.
  • A keen eye for detail and accuracy in your work.
  • Confident to volunteer ideas and perspectives, not afraid to ask questions.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and manage your time effectively, prioritising tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Using campaign learnings to optimise future partnership / influencer approaches.
  • Interest in AI and how this can supercharge client efficiencies.
