Media Planning Account Director - London Media Agency - £50-55k
A top London Media Agency are looking for an Account Director to lead key client accounts, develop high-performing teams, and drive strategic media planning. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident client leader who thrives on building relationships, delivering exceptional service, and contributing to business growth.
The ideal candidate could come from either a Media Planning or Media Planning and Buying background.
The Role
As an Account Director, you will:
Client Leadership
- Lead the day-to-day management of key client accounts.
- Develop strategic media recommendations and campaign proposals.
- Build strong, lasting relationships with senior client stakeholders.
- Ensure all work is delivered to a high standard, on time and on budget.
- Identify opportunities to grow client accounts and increase revenue.

Team Leadership
- Lead, coach and develop junior team members.
- Support performance development through regular feedback and mentoring.
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.
Financial & Operational Management
- Oversee forecasting, billing and financial administration across your accounts.
- Ensure client contracts, processes and commercial requirements are understood and followed.
Business Development
- Support new business pitches and agency growth initiatives.
- Build relationships with clients, media owners and industry contacts.
The Candidate
- Proven experience managing client accounts within a media agency.
- Strong strategic planning and media recommendation skills.
- Excellent presentation, communication and writing abilities.
- Experience leading, mentoring and developing teams.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent financial management skills.
- The confidence to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach.
