Media Relations Director (Part-Time FTC)

Looking for a senior media relations role that offers flexibility without compromising on impact?
At PrettyGreen, we're the Global Fame Makers.
We're an award-winning creative communications agency with big brand ambition and a boutique soul. We create purposeful fame for brands that want to push boundaries, shape culture and drive commercial growth.
Working with clients including Audible, Bupa, Hasbro, Tesco and PizzaExpress, we're looking for an experienced Media Relations Director to join us on a 6-month fixed-term contract, working 2 days per week.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone looking for a senior portfolio role, consultancy-style position or greater flexibility, while continuing to work on high-profile brands and award-winning campaigns.
You'll lead our earned media strategy across flagship clients, provide strategic counsel to clients and teams, mentor our PR talent, support new business and help shape how we deliver modern earned communications across traditional media and today's social news platforms.

You'll be responsible for:
- Leading earned media strategy across key client accounts.
- Providing senior media counsel to clients and internal teams.
- Identifying proactive and reactive news opportunities.
- Reviewing and elevating PR content, press releases and media strategies.
- Setting best-practice newsroom processes and ways of working.
- Helping deliver and exceed client KPIs.
- Supporting agency growth through new business pitches.
- Inspiring, coaching and developing our PR team.
We'd love to hear from you if you have
- Around 10+ years' experience in communications, whether agency, in-house or media.
- An exceptional understanding of today's media landscape.
- A track record of creating high-impact, fame-driving campaigns.
- Strong relationships with journalists, editors and news platforms.
- Experience presenting strategic recommendations to senior clients.
- The ability to inspire teams and build trusted client relationships.
- A commercial mindset and an understanding of the wider marketing mix.
