Overview
We’re seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager to join our Media Rights & Partnerships team. In this high-impact role, you will:
- Drive revenue growth by distributing Sportradar’s premium media rights portfolio to:
- Broadcasters
- Streaming services
- Digital media platforms
- Responsibilities range from:
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Developing strategic partnerships
- Negotiating commercial agreements
- Supporting rights acquisitions for sports federations, leagues, and rights holders
The Challenge
- Sales Targets: Drive media rights sales across European markets, exceeding revenue goals.
- Business Development: Design and execute strategies to uncover new opportunities while expanding existing partnerships.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline, generating leads from broadcasters and OTT/digital media companies.
- Client Relations & Negotiations: Lead end-to-end client engagements, including:
- Presentations
- Pitches
- Contract negotiations through to execution
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with:
- Broadcasters
- Sports federations
- Leagues
- Rights holders
- Rights Portfolio Growth: Contribute to sports media rights acquisition and management.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Align product content development with market needs
- EnsureKommerzialisierung (go-to-market) strategies meet market demands
- Industry Insights: Monitor trends in the sports media industry and competitive activity to inform strategic decisions.

Your Profile
- Proven experience in:
- Sales, business development, or commercial partnerships—preferably in:
- Sports media rights
- Broadcasting
- Sports technology
- Sales, business development, or commercial partnerships—preferably in:
- Deep understanding of:
- Global sports media ecosystem, including:
- Rights acquisition
- Licensing & distribution models
- Global sports media ecosystem, including:
- Strong network within sectors like sports, media, broadcasting, or digital content.
- Track record of:
- Developing new business opportunities
- Closing complex commercial deals
- Strong soft skills:
- Negotiation
- Presentation
- Stakeholder management
- Traits required:
- Commercial savvy + proactive mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a global team
- Competencies:
- Keen awareness of digital & streaming platform trends
- Fluency in English; European languages are a plus
