Media Rights & Business Development Senior Manager
Sales & Business Development Manager – Media Rights & Partnerships (Europe)
Overview
We’re the world’s leading sports technology company, at the intersection between sports, media, and betting. Over 1,700 sports federations, media outlets, betting operators, and consumer platforms across 120 countries rely on our technology to enhance their business.
We are seeking an ambitious and commercially driven Sales & Business Development Manager to join our Media Rights & Partnerships team. In this high-impact role, you will drive revenue growth by distributing Sportradar’s premium media rights portfolio to:
- Broadcasters
- Streaming services
- Digital media platforms across Europe and beyond
Key responsibilities include:
- Identifying new business opportunities
- Developing strategic partnerships
- Negotiating commercial agreements
- Supporting rights acquisition with sports federations, leagues, and rights holders
The Challenge
Drive media rights sales by:
- Achieving and exceeding revenue targets across European markets.
- Developing and executing business development strategies to:
- Identify new opportunities.
- Grow existing partnerships.
- Maintaining and managing a robust sales pipeline.
- Generating new leads among:
- Broadcasters
- OT taken (OTT) platforms
- Digital media companies
- Leading end-to-end client engagements, including:
- Presentations
- Pitches
- Commercial negotiations (from initial contact to contract execution)
- Cultivating relationships with:
- Broadcasters
- Media organizations
- Sports federations, leagues, and rights holders
- Supporting acquisition and rights management activities.
- Collaborating with internal teams (Product, Content, Commercial) to align offerings with market needs.
- Monitoring industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to spot emerging opportunities.

Your Profile
Success in this role requires:
- Proven experience in:
- Sales, business development, or commercial partnerships.
- Fields: sports media rights, broadcasting, sports technology, or related sectors.
- Strong grasp of the global sports media ecosystem, including:
- Rights acquisition
- Licensing structures
- Distribution models
- A robust network within:
- Sports sectors
- Media & broadcasting industries
- Track record of:
- Developing new business opportunities
- Closing complex commercial deals
- Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Commercial acumen combined with a proactive, results-driven mindset.
- Description emphasizes: Working independently with collaboration in an international environment.
- Adequate understanding of the evolving media landscape, especially digital & streaming platforms.
- Fluent English required; additional European languages are highly desirable.
