Media Sales Manager
Hertfords | Hybrid (3 days in office)
Up to £38,000 basic + uncapped commission, OTE £50,000+
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an established B2B media and events business with a portfolio spanning print, digital and live events across the PA, EA, venues and event services world. This is a role with a proper foundation under it. You are taking ownership of a well known, stable title with a loyal client base and a strong events portfolio plugged into it.
The Role
You will be the commercial lead on the brand. Around 50/50 new business and existing accounts, selling across print, digital, editorial content, newsletters and event sponsorship. Deal sizes range from a couple of hundred pounds for digital placements up to four or five thousand for cover positions and integrated packages, with plenty of scope to build bigger multi-platform deals.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key accounts sit across venues, agencies, corporate gifting, team building and travel, so you are selling into a genuinely varied client base. You will work alongside a group sales team who look after the wider event portfolio, and part of the brief is joining up the account management so clients get one conversation, not three.
Who This Suits
You need to have sold print. That is the non-negotiable. Wider media sales experience across digital and events is what makes the rest of it work, but print is a specialist thing and not everyone gets it.
Beyond that, our client is looking for someone who can juggle. This is an SME, everyone does a bit of everything, and you will be accountable for your own numbers rather than sitting in a big classified team. Experience across more than one title would be a real plus. It is a sociable, relationship led industry, not a technical sale, so personality and communication matter as much as the pipeline.
