Media Technology Manager
Salary: £80,000 - £95,000
Location: London | Hybrid (3 days per week) | Permanent
We're partnering with one of the UK's leading digital media organisations as they continue to invest heavily in their multimedia production capabilities.
This is a unique opportunity to shape the technology that underpins a brand-new studio production environment, supporting everything from content creation and editing through to publishing across digital and social platforms.
Working within the IT function, you'll own the evolution of the organisation's multimedia technology estate, leading multiple technical teams while defining the roadmap for cloud-based production workflows and media asset management.
What you'll be doing
- Lead and develop multidisciplinary teams including Multimedia Support, Studio Engineering, Mac Desktop Support and Software Development.
- Own the technical roadmap for multimedia technology platforms, ensuring they continue to evolve alongside the needs of editorial and production teams.
- Drive improvements across cloud-based production workflows, media asset management and content creation technologies.
- Partner with Editorial, Production and Technology teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions supporting end-to-end content production.
- Oversee multimedia platforms supporting ingest, asset management, editing and content publishing.
- Manage relationships with technology vendors and third-party suppliers.
- Ensure multimedia platforms remain reliable, secure and fit for future growth.

We're looking for someone with
- A strong technical background within Media Technology, Broadcast Technology or Production Technology.
- Experience working within an IT or Technology function supporting multimedia or broadcast environments.
- Excellent understanding of modern content production workflows, from capture and ingest through to editing, asset management and publication.
- Experience with Media Asset Management (MAM) platforms and cloud-based production technologies.
- Knowledge of distributed editing workflows and modern multimedia platforms.
- Experience managing technical teams such as engineers, developers or technical support specialists.
- Strong stakeholder management skills across Editorial, Production and Technology functions.
Desirable experience
- Studio production environments.
- Live broadcast or news production.
- Cloud-based editing technologies, such as LucidLink.
- Media Asset Management platforms, such as Iconik, Dalet, Avid, Vidispine or similar.
- Mac-based creative technology environments.
- Vendor and supplier management.
