Location: Central Manchester (Office-based with UK, Ireland & International travel)

Reports to: Deputy General Manager

The Role

As Medical Affairs Manager, you'll be the scientific expert for our UK & Ireland business, working closely with healthcare professionals, key opinion leaders and cross-functional colleagues to deliver high-quality scientific exchange and support evidence-based patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide scientific and medical expertise across Octapharma's therapeutic portfolio.
  • Build trusted relationships with healthcare professionals, NHS stakeholders and Key Opinion Leaders.
  • Deliver scientific exchange and support medical education activities.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of the UK & Ireland Medical Affairs strategy.
  • Communicate clinical data and scientific evidence in a clear, balanced and compliant manner.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory and Global Medical teams.
  • Ensure all activities comply with the regulatory bodies and company governance.

About You

We're looking for someone who is scientifically curious, collaborative and passionate about improving patient outcomes.

You'll bring:

  • A scientific or medical qualification (PhD, PharmD, MBBS, MBChB or equivalent) and/or experience in Medical Affairs, Medical Advisory, Medical Science Liaison, or relevant NHS clinical experience.
  • A strong understanding of the UK healthcare environment.
  • Excellent scientific communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience in haematology, immunology, critical care or rare diseases, together with knowledge of the ABPI Code of Practice, would be advantageous.
