LOCATION: This position is based in our Bannockburn and Schaumburg offices as the Medical Assistant travels daily to the office where the physician sees patients; local travel may be required to other locations within your assigned geographic region.
REPORTS TO: Practice Operations Manager
Position Summary
We are seeking a Medical Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with the physician to provide high-quality patient care and support daily clinical operations.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Interview patients to gather medical history and update medical records
- Gather basic vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, height, weight, and pulse
- Prepare treatment rooms and patients for exam
- Sterilize instruments and set up in-office procedure trays
- Manage medical supplies and materials and work with their operational leader to order necessary inventory
- Take x-rays
- Perform administrative tasks and become cross-trained on front desk responsibilities to provide support when needed.
- Other duties are to support the physician and team with patient care activities.

Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/ EDUCATION/ CRITICAL SKILLS
- 2 years in a healthcare field preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required
- Basic knowledge of computers and office equipment
- Possess good communication and strong customer service skills
- Self-directed and willing to take initiative
- Patient-focused
- Proven ability to prioritize and organize
- Committed to continuous performance improvement
- Capability to adapt quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment

- Monday (SB) 8:00am - 12:30pm
- Tuesday (BB) 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Wednesday (SB) 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Thursday (BB) 8:00am - 12:30pm
- Friday (BB) 8:00am - 5:30pm
- Saturday (Weeks 2 & 4) 8:00am-12:30pm
