The Ascendion Health Scribe team is seeking a detail-oriented and accredited Clinical Coder to support our healthcare AI initiatives. In this role, you will review clinical documentation and accurately assign ICD-10 (UK edition) and OPCS-4 codes to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance with NHS coding standards.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in health information management, Nursing, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in ICD-10 and/or OPCS-4 clinical coding.
- Active clinical coding accreditation (e.g., Accredited Clinical Coder (ACC) status via NHS Digital, or equivalent).
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Experience working with healthcare technology, speech-to-text systems, or language data.
- Familiarity with data annotation, collection, or quality assurance processes.
- Prior involvement in provider health tech or electronic patient record (EPR) environments.
- Customer-focused mindset with strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities.
