Medical Device & Pharmaceutical Indirect Sales Manager (m/f/d) – Northern Europe / UK
Our partner, a leading company within the healthcare sector, is looking for a Medical Device & Pharmaceutical Indirect Sales Manager based in the United Kingdom to drive growth across Northern Europe.
As a Medical Device & Pharmaceutical Indirect Sales Manager, you will spearhead strategic business development initiatives, expanding the adoption of innovative healthcare packaging solutions for medical device and pharmaceutical industries. This customer-facing role is ideal for someone looking to build deep relationships with industry leaders while uncovering new commercial opportunities and fostering sustainable growth.
Given the remote and international nature of the position, collaboration with cross-functional teams across sales, technical, quality, marketing, and supply chain will be essential. You’ll also have the opportunity to influence material selection for critical healthcare applications, support innovation projects, and contribute to the future of sterile packaging across the EMEA region.
About the Role
- Lead strategic business development in Northern Europe to expand healthcare packaging solutions within medical device and pharmaceutical industries
- Build long-term relationships with manufacturers, industry partners, and key stakeholders
- Identify and convert new business opportunities, maintaining a strong commercial pipeline
- Collaborate with internal teams across sales, technical, quality, marketing, and supply chain to deliver tailored customer solutions
- Represent the business within regional healthcare associations and stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and sustainability initiatives
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and strengthen strategic relationships with medical device manufacturers, pharmaceutical companies, and high-growth healthcare organisations across Northern Europe and broader EMEA
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities through proactive account management
- Negotiate commercial agreements and secure business opportunities while maintaining existing relationships
- Partner with customers on new product development, material selection, and alternative packaging technologies

Strategic Account Management
- Create and execute strategic account plans aligned with commercial objectives
- Drive sustainable growth by understanding and meeting customer needs
- Align sales strategy with broader business goals while collaborating with international teams
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with technical, quality, product management, supply chain, and marketing teams to propose and implement customer solutions
- Ensure alignment between business objectives and customer requirements
Representation & Market Awareness
- Act as a sales representative within regional healthcare industry associations
- Stay updated on regulatory trends, sustainability initiatives, and emerging market opportunities
Travel Commitment
- Expected travel across EMEA (approximately 60% of the role)
Requirements
- Qualifications: A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM, Sales, Business Administration, or a related field (advanced technical degrees are beneficial)
- Experience:
- Minimum 5 years in the healthcare industry, preferably in technical sales, business development, or commercial management
- Proven expertise in healthcare packaging materials, including nonwovens, films, coatings, and adhesives
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (MedTech/pharmaceutical packaging) and sustainability trends
- Experience working with major OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, or comparable healthcare sector organisations
- Skills & Competencies:
- Ability to build trusted customer relationships, negotiate contracts, and influence internal/external stakeholders
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and commercial acumen
- Experience managing sales pipelines using CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce)
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Proactive, resilient, and results-driven mindset
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel approximately 60% across the EMEA region
