Medical Director (Psychiatry)

Lead clinical excellence and shape the future of behavioral health care

The Edinburg Center is seeking an experienced and mission-driven Medical Director to provide psychiatric leadership across our programs, including PACT and outpatient services. This is a high-impact role combining clinical care, leadership, and program development.

What You’ll Do

Clinical Leadership & Care

  • Provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management
  • Offer expert consultation for complex and crisis cases
  • Support high-quality, person-centered care across programs

Supervision & Team Leadership

  • Supervise psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, and prescribers
  • Conduct evaluations and support staff development
  • Serve as clinical co-lead for the PACT team

Program Development & Strategy

  • Partner with executive leadership to design and grow clinical programs
  • Develop and implement agency-wide policies and protocols
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations

Collaboration & Operations

  • Ensure adequate psychiatric coverage across programs
  • Lead trainings and participate in key committees
  • Collaborate with DMH and interdisciplinary teams

What You Are:

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school
  • Board Certified in Psychiatry (ABPN)
  • Active, unrestricted Massachusetts medical license
  • Valid DEA & MA Controlled Substances Registration
  • Experience in clinical leadership and psychiatric care
  • Ability to work with electronic health records

On-Call

Provide after-hours consultation as needed

At work, we are psychiatrists, social workers, clinicians, nurses, behavior specialists, peer specialists, board certified behavior analysts, direct service staff, and employment specialists. When we’re not at work, we love to hike, bike, craft, read, shop, and sing opera, among many other things! Our staff of 350 have a range of interests and skills, and we know you do too!
