Role in NHFM Medical Engineering Team
The Medical Engineering Team at NHFM ensures the management of approximately 28,000 medical devices Trust-wide, focusing on their safety, functionality, and availability for clinical use. One of our key responsibilities includes managing the three Medical Devices Equipment Libraries across the main Trust sites, facilitating the loan of medical devices for patient treatment and maintaining accurate records.
Vacancy Opportunity: Northumbria (NSECH) Hospital Site
NHFM is seeking a dynamic, motivated Medical Equipment Librarian (Administrative & Decontamination) to join the team at our Northumbria (NSECH) Hospital site.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and update the department’s asset database (e-Quip) to guarantee accurate records of device locations.
- Requires excellent keyboard and PC skills, strong organisational abilities, and the capacity to prioritise workloads.
- Complete ward rounds daily to collect and return clinical equipment.
- Maintain close communication with both clinical and technical colleagues.
- Maintain accurate loan transaction records for the Medical Equipment Libraries.
- Perform administrative duties supporting the Medical Engineering Team.
- Undertake decontamination tasks for loaned medical equipment.
