Overall Earnings: Circa £50,000
- Basic Salary: Up to £45,000

Overview
A leading market player is seeking a technically motivated and customer-focused Medical Field Service Engineer for their Pathology Laboratory Diagnostics team.
The Role
You will be responsible for:
- The service, installation, breakdown, repair, and calibration of sophisticated medical laboratory diagnostics systems.
- Supporting clinical chemistry and blood diagnostics products within:
- Pathology departments
- NHS laboratories
- Clinical chemistry environments
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering customer-facing field service engineering in high-value capital equipment environments.
- Supporting production lines with authorised repair of medical diagnostics equipment.
- Coordinating all aspects of service, breakdown, repair and installation of diagnostic equipment and systems.
- Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement through reliability engineering techniques.
- Leveraging your passion for medical device engineering in a challenging, fast-paced environment.

Requirements & Qualifications
Experience & Background
To excel in this role, you must have:
- A competent track record in customer-facing field service engineering, preferably within high-value capital equipment environments.
- Experience in related sectors such as:
- Laboratory devices
- Medical devices
- Pharmaceutical devices
- Ex-forces engineers (medical & dental, weapons systems, radar)
- Electronic or electro-mechanical fields
Preferred experience includes familiarity with diagnostics fields, specifically:
- Autoimmune diagnostics
- Immunology
- Biochemistry
- Haematology
- Histology
- Microbiology
- Immunodiagnostics systems
Education & Qualifications
- Qualification in engineering, electronics or a science-based subject to a minimum of:
- ONC (Ordinary National Certificate) level
- City & Guilds qualifications
- NVQ or equivalent
