Overview & Total Package
Total earnings: Circa £50,000
- Basic salary: Up to £45,000
- Bonus: 10%

The Role
This market leader in medical diagnostics seeks a technically motivated and customer-focused Medical Field Service Engineer with responsibility for:
- Service, installation, breakdown, repair and calibration of sophisticated medical laboratory diagnostics systems, used in:
- Pathology departments
- NHS laboratories
- Clinical chemistry environments
- Technical support for clinical chemistry and blood diagnostics products at customer sites.

Your Background & Experience
To thrive in this role, you must demonstrate:
- Proven engineering experience in a customer-facing field service capacity, ideally within high-value capital equipment environments (but applications are broadly welcomed).
- Warmly encouraged from engineers with diverse backgrounds, including:
- Laboratory/medical device,
- Pharmaceutical device experience,
- Ex-forces engineers (technical or medical/dental specialisms),
- Aviation/electronic/electro-mechanical sectors.
Preferred Experience
Experience with diagnostics-field products, notably within:
- Autoimmune diagnostics,
- Immunology,
- Biochemistry,
- Haematology,
- Histology,
- Microbiology, or
- Immunodiagnostics systems.
Qualification Requirements
At minimum ONC level, City & Guilds, or NVQ, in:
- Engineering, electronics, or a science-based subject — broad discipline qualifications are welcome, given comprehensive training.
