Medical Gas Field Service Engineer (Southern Team)

About the Role

Your mission as the Field Service Engineer is to provide expert services for our technology solutions, delivering unmatched customer satisfaction and upholding the highest standards of safety. You are committed to ensuring the performance and longevity of customer technology through expertise. This work is critical for supporting the operational success and technological advancement of industries reliant on these technologies.

What You Will Do

  • Work as part of a regional service team, providing 24/7 emergency cover as part of a rota
  • Complete scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) within specified timeframes at hospital sites
  • Liaise with the service office and customers to plan daily and weekly visit schedules
  • Work unsupervised, using initiative to carry out laid-down tasks
  • Identify additional works (e.g. manifold and plant installations) and complete short form tenders (quotations)
  • Manage stock, administration (timesheets, parts order forms, quotations, expenses), and commissioning of new systems
  • Adhere to and apply Health and Safety regulations in all tasks
  • Maintain test instruments to ensure they remain in optimal condition

Requirements to Succeed

  • Time serves apprentice in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with a City & Guilds qualification (minimum Parts 1 & 2)
  • Strong knowledge of compressors and vacuum pumps
  • Self-driven with a focus on high-quality work
  • Competent, confident, reliable, and an empathetic communicator
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
