Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, London, SW5 0TU
Bank position
Salary: £12.74 per hour
Shifts: Bank role to cover weekdays & occasional Saturdays
Shift Times
Monday to Friday - 8am to 4pm, 10am to 6pm & 11am to 7pm
Saturdays 8am to 2pm

Role Overview
We are recruiting for a Medical Records Officer to provide an efficient service for the Cromwell Hospital and all medical users. You shall report and liaise closely with the Senior Medical Records Officer on a daily basis to promote a highly proficient system.
What You’ll Do
Locate, prepare and distribute medical records to Outpatients, Admissions and other departments within the hospital, while maintaining an accurate tracer card system. Retrieve and modify patient details from the hospital computer. File and retrieve all case notes, pathology results and any other relevant documentation to maintain an up-to-date filing system. Adhere to and complete procedures relating to the secondary storage, retention and archiving of medical records on the scanning systems in use within the department. Deal with all telephone calls and enquiries in a courteous, efficient and professional manner. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times and display an understanding of the implication of the Data Protection Act and the Access to Medical Records Policy for the release of information. Prepare and complete all the necessary Medical Record reception duties in O.P.D. and compile daily statistics and maintain departmental registers.
