Medical Recruitment Specialist
About the Role
We are thrilled to appoint a Medical Recruitment Specialist to join our Medical People Services Team. This dynamic role supports doctors at every stage of their employment journey—from initial recruitment and onboarding through to ongoing contractual changes and workforce management.
You’ll take a central role in ensuring a seamless and positive experience for medical staff, leveraging workforce systems to handle recruitment, pay adjustments, and roster administration. Operating closely with clinical teams and stakeholders, this position delivers a high-quality, values-driven service that promotes safe staffing and excellence in patient care across the Trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with managers, People and Organisational Development Business Partners (BP's), and Clinical Directors/Leads to develop job packs and recruitment literature for medical posts.
- Maintain and enhance a job description library by regularly reviewing and improving job details where needed.
- Advertise job vacancies on platforms such as TRAC, NHS Jobs, and SATH jobs, utilising social media and other job boards for maximum reach.
- Work with marketing and communication teams to promote vacancies and ensure broad coverage.
- Serve as the primary liaison for permanent and international medical recruitment, coordinating with relevant agencies and guiding candidates through the application process.
- Stay current with recruitment legislation and system updates, including TRAC, NHS Jobs, and ESR.
- Gain comprehensive knowledge of departmental workforce systems, including:
- ESR
- TRAC
- NHS Jobs
- DBS processes
- Occupational Health portals
- Other relevant databases and systems, as introduced.
- Use ESR for medical workforce reporting and data analysis.
- Ensure TIS system and ESR interface integration to timely send new starter paperwork and log details before their start date.
