Account Specialist - Respiratory
Location: Field Based - Humber
Position: Permanent - Full Time
Salary: Competitive
The Opportunity
We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Account Specialist to join a successful respiratory team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in partnership with primary care customers, delivering tailored solutions that improve patient outcomes while driving business growth.
Acting as the primary point of contact, you will build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals, identify opportunities to support customer priorities, and promote a market-leading respiratory portfolio through a consultative, partnership-led approach.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, connecting them with relevant internal resources including education, medical support, service development and partnership opportunities.
- Build trusted, long-term relationships with healthcare professionals across primary care.
- Promote the respiratory portfolio in line with the UK marketing strategy and local customer plans.
- Develop and implement account plans for PCNs, practice clusters and individual GP practices.
- Identify opportunities to co-create projects, educational initiatives and service improvements with customers.
- Tailor solutions to meet individual customer needs using strong clinical knowledge and customer insights.
- Deliver a blend of face-to-face and digital customer engagement using the most appropriate communication channels.
- Analyse customer data and market insights to inform account planning and maximise opportunities.
- Achieve agreed KPIs including sales performance, customer satisfaction, project delivery and Net Promoter Score (NPS).
- Ensure all activities comply with the ABPI Code of Practice and company policies.
- Contribute to wider sustainability and corporate responsibility initiatives.

About You
You will be an experienced pharmaceutical sales professional with a strong understanding of primary care and the NHS. You will enjoy building strategic partnerships and have a consultative approach to account management.
You will demonstrate:
- Strong knowledge of the NHS and primary care landscape.
- Proven pharmaceutical sales success and consistent achievement of targets.
- Excellent account management and business planning skills.
- Advanced selling, influencing and presentation skills.
- Strong clinical and market knowledge within healthcare.
- Experience developing business cases and customer proposals.
- Excellent relationship-building skills across multiple customer groups.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into effective account plans.
- Excellent organisational and project management skills.
- High levels of empathy and customer focus.
- Confidence using digital engagement platforms alongside face-to-face interactions.
- Strong IT skills.
- ABPI qualification (or currently working towards it).
- Full UK driving licence with no more than six penalty points.
