About the Role
Medical Science Liaison (MSL)
As an MSL, your mission is to provide non-promotional, field-based medical information services in strict accordance with the ABPI Code of Practice. Your responsibilities span multiple key areas:
{Medical Information Requests}
- Deliver field-based medical information services.
- Respond to medical information requests in line with the ABPI Code of Practice and ASOPs.
- Maintain audit-trailed records of enquiry requests and responses.
- Identify frequently asked medical enquiry questions, prepare relevant presentations, and obtain internal approval for delivery.
- Collaborate with medical information team colleagues to ensure fair, balanced, and accurate responses within timely manners.

{Non-Interventional Phase IV Studies, IIS, & Data Generation}
- Participate in the setup, delivery, and on-going management of UK-led Phase IV and non-interventional studies.
- Support the process for Investigator-Initiated Study (IIS) requests in accordance with company SOPs.
- Comply with international and UK SOPs related to clinical research.
{Adverse Reactions (Spontaneous Reports)}
- Recognize, record, and report potential adverse reactions within company procedures.
{Non-Promotional Exchange of Medical & Scientific Information}
- MAP key opinion leaders (KOLs) following Servier UK SOPs.
- Support legitimate exchange of scientific and medical information with healthcare professionals (including TAE visits) as per ABPI Code, Clause 3.
- Provide valuable scientific insights to the Medical Affairs Department, contributing to internal communications (ABPI compliance).
- Assist in setting up and delivering regional advisory boards as part of strategy guidelines.
{Professional Relations}
- Maintain a high level of scientific, clinical, and regulatory knowledge through continuous learning, courses, and medical conferences.
- Understand the healthcare landscape within key accounts where requests originate.
- Stay updated on industry laws and regulations affecting medical information services.
- Uphold the highest scientific and ethical standards, complying with PMCPA & MHRA guidelines.

{Fieldforce Training & Development}
- Collaborate with managers to devise and implement field force training strategies.
- Lead training sessions for the field force on medical/scientific topics at conferences and national cycle briefs.
{Delivery of Requests for Support (Including Grants & Donations)}
- Work with healthcare professionals, organizations, and patient groups to deliver non-promotional services such as disease awareness and medical education, collaborating with Patient Affairs Manager where applicable.
Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties/projects as required by the MSL Manager (MSLM).
- Continuously monitor processes for improvement opportunities.
- Provide backup for departmental colleagues during absences or holidays.
Qualification: Experience in haematology is preferred but not essential.
