An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our existing secretarial team at Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust
This will be working within the Oral Surgery Department based at the Birmingham Treatment Centre.
The role will require strong communication skills and a knowledge of RTT is desirable.
Within our Trust, all secretaries provide full secretarial support to consultants and staff grades, while working together as a team.
As the Medical Secretary, you will manage the administrative processes associated with patient pathways and contribute to the overall effectiveness of clinical teams
This including patient experience, patient flow and waiting list management.
You will provide secretarial and administrative support to Consultants and clinical teams to support in the delivery of high quality co-ordinated and integrated care. This will including liaison with patients, carers, GP’s and other service users.

You will book appointments for patients within National Targets and will be responsible for raising any capacity issues with the Line Manager.
Robust knowledge of IT systems is required as well as an ability to work with multiple systems at the same time. Excellent typing speed and grammar is also desirable.
