Work Hours: Full Time/Day Shift , Monday-Friday 6am- 4:30pm, weekend rotations required

Position Summary
The laboratory lead medical technologist performs analytical procedures independently and has an advanced understanding of laboratory operations. Accountable for day-to-day assistance in planning, participating, and overseeing all operations of assigned section(s). Is cross-trained in all functions of the section and provides recommendations to leadership about opportunities for improvement. Possesses high attention to detail and can be relied upon for dependable and consistent work output. Ensures the reporting of quality results, completion of projects and a safe work environment.

Education
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology or related science
Experience
5 years of related clinical laboratory experience Proven ability to perform and evaluate laboratory procedures, guide QC, improve section performance and lead staff in daily operations in the assigned areas Precision and attention to detail Strong written communication and interpersonal skills Ability to read and interpret direction, both oral and written, organize and prioritize work and follow through on assignments Knowledge of and ability to use computers, automated instruments and mechanical apparatus
Certification/Licensing
Clinical Laboratory Technologist License in the area(s) of responsibility from the State of Florida required Clinical Laboratory Supervisor License in the area(s) of responsibility from the State of Florida preferred Authorization to Work in the United States: Applicants who require sponsorship now or in the future will not be considered for this position.
Salary Range: Minimum 37.07/hour - Maximum 59.32/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
