We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Workforce Adviser to join our Medical Workforce Team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.
Role Title: Medical Workforce Advisor - Rota Design & Compliance
Band: 6
Contract: Permanent Full-time
Working closely with Clinical Directors, Consultants, Rota Coordinators, and senior operational leaders, you will play a key role in developing innovative rota solutions that support service delivery, improve staff wellbeing, and ensure compliance with national contractual requirements, including the 2016 Junior Doctor Contract and Working Time Regulations.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong analytical, organizational, and relationship management skills who is looking to further develop their leadership experience, influence strategic workforce planning, and contribute to service improvement across one of the UK's largest teaching NHS Trusts.

As Medical Workforce Rota Adviser, you will play a key role in delivering safe, effective, and compliant medical staffing across the Trust. Working closely with Clinical Directors, Consultants, and operational managers, you will lead on the development and management of medical rotas, ensuring they meet service demands while complying with national terms and conditions and safe working requirements.

You will provide expert advice on rota design, workforce planning, and medical workforce policies, using workforce data to identify opportunities for improvement and support service resilience. The role also includes leading rota-related projects, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and line managing members of the Medical Workforce team.
