Medical/Admin Officer - Budmouth Academy
We seek a caring, organised, motivated, committed individual to the role of Medical/Admin Officer.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and be a problem solver. You should have exceptional admin, IT and organisational skills, and a flexible "can do" approach when writing, editing and updating Health Care Plans with students, parents and medical professionals and when preparing for and assisting with medical screening and immunisation programmes.
The ideal candidate will be first aid trained and confident in administering, assessing and evaluating the medical needs of our students. As our Medical/Admin Officer, you will also oversee and manage the daily running of the medical provision and care taking the lead on medical procedures, processes and emergencies for our students and staff.

The Suitable Candidate
Will be the main First Aid contact in school, overseeing the care of students who are unwell or injured Will be able to support students with specific medical conditions; Will be confident in deciding on appropriate medical course of action and implement that action Will be able to manage the Medical Room, First Aid equipment, wheelchairs and order of necessary kits Ensure that medication, defibrillators and supplies are stored safely, securely and are within date. May have knowledge on specific medical conditions such as (but not limited to) diabetes and allergies and the handling of prescribed drugs from a Doctor for students. Be self-motivated, quick thinking and highly organised Work well under pressure Provide general administration support as required around the Academy Possess effective time management skills in order to meet deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail Be an effective and confident communicator via different means such as telephone and email
