Job Type: Fixed Term, Approximately 3 Months

Hours: Part-time/Full-time, including some weekend working

About the Role

We are looking for a friendly, reliable and customer-focused Medicine Counter Assistant to join our busy Pharmacy team on a fixed-term basis for approximately three months.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys helping people and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced retail pharmacy environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing outstanding customer service to all pharmacy customers.
  • Assisting customers with over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products within the scope of your training.
  • Referring customers to the Pharmacist when appropriate.
  • Processing sales using the till system.
  • Replenishing stock and maintaining attractive displays.
  • Ensuring the pharmacy is kept clean, tidy and well organised.
  • Receiving and checking deliveries.
  • Assisting with general day-to-day pharmacy duties.
  • Maintaining patient confidentiality at all times.

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Previous experience working in a pharmacy or healthcare environment.
  • Medicines Counter Assistant (MCA) qualification.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience.

Full training will be provided for the right candidate.
