Medicines Management Technician
Full and Part Time applications welcome, 36 – 42 hours per week
Term Time only
£32,507 to £39,325 per annum depending on experience
We are therefore seeking a pharmacy technician interested in working in this unique setting: we are not a pharmacy, but we offer a dynamic and challenging role in a committed and supportive health care team. You will be based in a busy health centre within the school and college. Working with GPs, other pharmacy technicians and a large team of nurses, therapists and care staff, you will use your skills to support GPs, transcribe medicines onto our electronic system, manage stock and storage, and share the responsibility for medicine audits across the 6 boarding houses, and classrooms. You must have an enthusiasm for detail, be comfortable with giving advice without pharmacist support, problem solving using a range of medicine resources, and communicating with a wide range of people.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
