As a Front of House member, you don’t need to have previous experience, you just need to be prepared to create an outstanding store environment for both our customers and our team, making sure every patient receives the best care in our stores. We’ll support you every step of the way, with comprehensive training and development opportunities across the business, alongside guidance from experienced Opticians and Technicians. Whatever you want your career to look like, you can bring it to life at Specsavers.

Our store

The Specsavers store in Huddersfield is a busy and customer-focused optical and audiology branch, committed to delivering high-quality eye and hearing care to the local community. Located prominently on the High Street in the heart of the town centre, the store benefits from excellent public transport links, with nearby bus stops offering regular services to surrounding areas, as well as convenient access to local parking facilities.

Our team

The team at the Specsavers Huddersfield store is a friendly, knowledgeable, and dedicated group of professionals who work closely together to deliver an exceptional customer experience. From experienced optometrists and dispensing opticians to optical assistants and support staff, every member of the team plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth running of the store. They foster a collaborative and supportive environment, where colleagues are encouraged to share expertise, develop their skills, and provide outstanding care to every customer. With a strong focus on teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement, the team is committed to maintaining high clinical standards while creating a welcoming atmosphere for all who visit the store.

  • Up to £12.71 per hour - Depending on experience
  • Part time - saturday and/or sunday - 15 hours per week
  • We will auto-enroll you into the pension scheme with an employer contribution when you contribute too

What we’re looking for?

As part of this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming customers into store and creating a positive first impression
  • Booking and managing customer appointments
  • Proactively approaching customers to understand their needs and offer assistance
  • Using IT systems accurately and efficiently as required
  • Delivering excellent service in line with Specsavers Customer Service Standards
  • Taking initiative to continuously develop your skills and product knowledge
