Job Title
Banqueting/Convention Supervisor
Your Purpose
The Banqueting/Convention Supervisor is responsible for the day-to-day management of the Banqueting department in the absence of the Assistant Manager or Manager. Key responsibilities include:
- Ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, food quality, safety, customer satisfaction, and operational profitability
- Supporting sustainable hospitality practices
- Acting as the visual representation of the department in the absence of senior leadership

Key Responsibilities
Management & Team Leadership
- Run the daily operations of the Banqueting department in the absence of senior managers
- Allocate daily roles to team members efficiently
- Represent the department at meetings in the absence of the Manager
- Hold pre-shift meetings before every shift (as specified)
Operational Excellence
- Ensure all opening/closing procedures are correctly followed
- Maintain cleanliness to detailed standards across all areas
- Monitor and manage operational stock levels, placing orders as required
Customer & Service Focus
- Remain guest-focused and ensure the entire team maintains this priority
- Take and execute guest orders with precision
- Handle issues/complaints professionally and report them to the Banqueting Manager
- Upsell opportunities daily and boost team sales efforts
Financial & Business Accountability
- Be accountable for all monies and financial transactions while on shift
- Stay informed about daily and upcoming business activities for both the department and resort
Menu & Operational Knowledge
- Maintain familiarity with the menus, wine list, and bar menu
- Ensure adherence to food safety, health standards, and company documentation
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a Supervisory role, ideally in a luxury or high-volume environment
- Hospitality Management/Food & Beverage qualification preferred
- Additional certifications in Food & Beverage are advantageous
- Experience in all aspects of restaurant and banquet service
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role with proven results
- Excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in English
