MEICA Lead - United Utilities Framework

Location:

North West of England

Hours:

45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

We are unable to offer certificates of sponsorship to any candidates in this role.


About the Role

As a MEICA Lead, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation solutions across our water projects. Working collaboratively with design teams, contractors, and operational stakeholders, you'll provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of MEICA activities on major infrastructure projects while driving innovation and supporting sustainable outcomes for the communities we serve.


Responsibilities

As a MEICA Lead, you'll be working within the Framework team, supporting the successful delivery of projects across the United Utilities programme.

  • Leading MEICA input throughout feasibility, design, construction, and commissioning phases
  • Reviewing mechanical and electrical requirements and identifying technical risks, opportunities, and value engineering solutions
  • Coordinating and managing MEICA consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, programme, and commercial targets are achieved
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams across all MEICA disciplines
  • Ensuring designs, installations, and commissioning activities are compliant with industry standards, client specifications, and statutory regulations

What We're Looking For

This role of MEICA Lead is great for you if:

  • You have strong experience in a MEICA-focused role within a main contractor or utilities environment
  • You have previous experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects
  • You possess a strong technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, ICA, and commissioning activities
  • You can confidently engage with clients, consultants, supply chain partners, and operational teams
