MEICA Project Manager
MEICA Project Manager – (Wastewater Treatment Projects)
As MEICA Project Manager, you will work within a multi-disciplinary engineering team to deliver water and wastewater infrastructure projects from design to procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover to the client. You will lead the Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation (MEICA) scope of works, ensuring seamless delivery of all day-to-day project aspects—including programme management, commercial oversight, and HSQE (Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental) development.
This role demands engagement in a one-team culture, enabling both your professional growth and specialisation in MEICA systems. Key support to the Contracts Manager and opportunities to develop expertise in a diverse range of engineering disciplines make this an ideal position for career progression—offering multiple paths forward within Glanua.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate in a "one team" culture as part of multi-project delivery teams
- Enforce and promote Health, Safety, Environmental & Sustainability (HSQE) standards on-site, embedding a positive safety culture within the team
- Foster collaborative relationships with all key stakeholders, including clients, Client Reps, and third-party agencies, ensuring satisfaction throughout the project
- Lead the MEICA construction team, monitoring progress and executing high-quality delivery of technical scopes
- Coordinate closely with other engineering disciplines (Civil, Building, Process teams) and external design teams, including fulfilling the role of Principal Designer for live projects
- Lead HSQE assurance activities on-site, delivering and chairing toolbox talks and whiteboard meetings, as well as ensuring all compliance documentation is current
- Implement best practice project management, including methodologies like Lean Construction and Last Planner
- Risk and opportunity management: Monitor projects, mitigate risks, and pursue opportunities proactively
- Provide monthly progress reports to the Contracts Manager—covering programme, budget, HSQE performance, and resource allocation
- Lead procurement processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of supplies and sub-contracts
- Oversee project cashflow, collaborating with the commercial team to submit interim payments on time
- Upskill and mentor team members, developing individual Career Development Plans (CDP)
- Involve in resource management and recruitment for your team, maintaining growth and expertise
- Provide guidance on tender submissions for upcoming projects
- Respond to and resolve client and stakeholder concerns directly and professionally
- Drive continuous improvement by capturing lessons learned and proposing solutions for future projects
- Ensure ongoing professional development through continuing professional development (CPD)
- Perform other duties as required by the business
