About Beshula
Right now, the internet works for a handful of tech billionaires, not for the rest of us. Everything we do online is collected as data, and most of us have no real idea how much is taken or where it goes. It's stored in enormous data centres that burn through energy and harm the planet. It's used to target us with ads, sold on to other companies, and fed into AI models that are then sold back to us and used to replace our jobs and our creativity. None of this happens with our genuine consent. The apps that gather all this are designed to be addictive, because the longer they hold our attention, the more they can take, and they do real damage to our wellbeing in the process. Society simply accepts this awful situation, because until now there's been no alternative. That's what we're here to change. Privacy, trust, wellbeing and sustainability sit behind every decision we make. Our aim is to take power back from those few billionaires and return it to ordinary people by building the alternatives we need and sharing the technology so others can help us build a better internet for everyone.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for people to join the advisory board of Beshula Ltd. More details about the organisation and what we do will be revealed under an NDA if you are considered for the interview.
We are looking for ambitious people of all ages (16+) from Lincolnshire or at least commutable to Lincolnshire to join the Beshula advisory board! Yes, it's a tech project but we are not looking only for people experienced in this area, but people who align with our values to embark on this hugely impactful project.
What You Will Do
Attend monthly advisory board meetings in Lincolnshire to hold the founder accountable, help make decisions on the company direction and, with your fellow board members, answer the ethical questions this technology raises.
Pay
It's an unpaid role, but share options with a vesting schedule in line with common startups and relative to the time investment will be offered. You will be reimbursed reasonable travel expenses for attending the board meetings.

Who You Will Be
You must be deeply passionate about privacy, trust, wellbeing and sustainability. That is an absolute non-negotiable for this project.
Extra Experiences You Could Bring
We are looking for people with any of the following experiences. You do not need to have all of these, just one is enough to be considered.
- Well connected in and consider your communities valuable
- A heavy user of social media, having learned lessons both positive and negative
- Experienced in startups and early funding options and rounds
- Have technical knowledge on mobile apps

- You have never worked in tech before.
- You feel you're too young or old. We need to be relevant and accessible so as long as you are over 16 and alive, we want to hear from you.
