Your CV, and a covering letter (maximum 500 words), answering the following questions:
- What interests you about this role, and how does your experience to date make you well-suited?
You are hosting a 2-hour workshop for Directors UK members at an external venue. After an hour, the session facilitator pauses the workshop for everyone to have a short break. You look at the schedule and notice the session is already overrunning by 15 minutes. You are also aware the venue requires the room you have hired immediately after your timeslot as they have to prepare for another booking. What actions would you take in order to resolve this situation, and why?
Applications without the above covering letter will not be considered. Please note, only candidates shortlisted for interview will be contacted.
We are happy to receive applications in whichever format is most accessible to you, whether that's written in the body of an email, or a Word document, via a video in BSL or English, or as an audio file. Please contact us at recruitment@directors.uk.com if you have any access requirements.
Applications closing date: 5pm Monday 27th July 2026
Interviews are due to take place: Week commencing 3rd August 2026

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
