Membership Advisor
Location: Swan Pool and Leisure Centre MK18 1AE
Salary: £10,603 - 13,500 per annum plus commission
Schedule: 16 hours per week working Wednesdays and Saturdays

This is a varied and energetic role where your enthusiasm, people skills, and results-driven mindset will help grow membership, strengthen retention, and build positive relationships within the local community.
What you’ll do as a Membership Advisor
You’ll be entrusted to:
- Deliver excellent customer service, ensuring all enquiries are handled correctly and promptly.
- Complete engaging tours of the facility with the aim of converting enquiries into memberships.
- Achieve monthly sales and retention targets through proactive sales activity.
- Work closely with the gym team to support annual renewals and member retention.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to support and deliver monthly campaigns.
- Generate new leads through outreach activity, events, and local partnerships.
- Attend events and community activities to promote the centre and generate interest.
- Maintain accurate records and manage the membership database in line with company procedures.
- Identify local opportunities and industry trends that support income growth.
- Carry out additional duties within the centre as directed by your line manager.

Does this sound like you?
You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:
- Experience or knowledge within a sales or customer-focused environment.
- Excellent customer care and communication skills.
- Confidence communicating clearly and building rapport with a wide range of people.
- Good numeracy skills, with the ability to understand and work towards KPIs and sales targets.
- Strong time management and organisational skills.
- A self-motivated, proactive, and positive approach to work.
- Confidence managing objections and resolving conflict professionally.
- High standards of personal presentation.
- A flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider team.
Vetting and checks:
A Standard DBS check will be carried out for this position. This includes spent and unspent convictions, cautions, reprimands, and warnings as permitted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act. An Occupational Health Questionnaire will also be completed so we can ensure you have the necessary support to perform your duties.
