Membership Assistant | London (Hybrid Working) | Early Career Opportunity Circa £28-30k

Are you looking to build a career in marketing, membership, events, and the advertising industry? ISBA, the body representing brand owners advertising in the UK, is seeking a proactive and organised Membership Assistant to support our Membership, Marketing & Engagement team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with around a year's experience in advertising, media, marketing, or a related industry who is keen to develop broad commercial and industry expertise.

About the Role

This is a varied, junior-level role supporting membership growth, member engagement, marketing, CRM, research, events, and training activity. You'll help ensure our programmes, communications, and member services run smoothly while gaining exposure to some of the UK's leading advertisers.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Supporting membership recruitment, renewals, and onboarding activities
  • Maintaining CRM records, reporting, and data accuracy
  • Assisting with research, competitor analysis, and market insights
  • Supporting member communications, campaigns, and digital marketing activity
  • Helping deliver training programmes, webinars, and events
  • Coordinating projects, tracking actions, and supporting colleagues across the organisation

What We're Looking For

  • Around one year of experience in advertising, media, marketing, or a related industry
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and reporting tools
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Interest in advertising, marketing, and the wider industry landscape

Benefits

  • Hybrid working (3 days office / 2 days remote)
  • Holiday - 22 days plus 5 days office closure at Christmas. Ratchets up to 23 days after 3 years' service, 24 days after 5 years' service, and 25 days after 10 years' service. Plus one day for birthday to be taken two weeks either side of birthday.
  • Pension - employer and employee pay minimum percentage as set out in current legislation (currently 3% for employer and 5% for employee). After one year, Company contributes 10%. Employees can make individual contributions collected through salary sacrifice.
  • Private Healthcare (BUPA) from after one year for the individual (excludes partners and dependents).
  • Christmas bonus
  • Health and wellbeing allowance - £53 a month (in lieu of gym membership which we stopped during Covid).
  • Cycle to work scheme - through salary sacrifice for a bike with value up to £2,500.
  • Salary Extras portal - access to savings at supermarkets, cinemas, etc.
  • Working from home allowance - tax-free allowance in line with government limit of £26 a month.
