Our client, a leading professional membership organisation, is looking for an ambitious Membership Growth & Events Executive to play a pivotal role in expanding its membership community, increasing commercial income, and delivering outstanding member engagement.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining business development with relationship management. Working with organisations across a diverse professional sector, you'll identify new membership opportunities, nurture existing relationships, and help deliver a programme of high-quality events that strengthen engagement and support commercial growth.
The Role
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll proactively identify prospective members, build a healthy sales pipeline, promote the value of membership, and support initiatives that drive both membership growth and commercial revenue. Alongside this, you'll help deliver a varied programme of events that encourage networking, knowledge sharing, and member engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and develop new membership opportunities through proactive business development.
- Build and manage a pipeline of prospective members using CRM, LinkedIn, and direct outreach.
- Arrange meetings with prospective members and senior decision-makers.
- Promote the value of membership and convert enquiries into new members.
- Develop strong relationships with existing members to maximise retention and engagement.
- Identify opportunities to increase member participation across events, committees, and networking activities.
- Support the development of sponsorship, partnership, and commercial opportunities.
- Assist with generating revenue through events and commercial initiatives.
- Coordinate conferences, networking events, webinars, and member forums.
- Liaise with speakers, sponsors, venues, and suppliers to ensure successful event delivery.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and produce reports on membership activity and pipeline performance.

About You
You'll bring:
- Experience in membership growth, business development, account management, sponsorship, partnerships, or stakeholder engagement.
- A proven ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, target-focused, and commercially aware approach.
- Excellent communication and networking skills.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
- Experience within a membership organisation, professional body, trade association, or events environment.
