Membership Development Consultant

Self-Employed | Commission-Based | Flexible Hours | UK-Wide

The Association of Construction Quality Professionals is looking for an enthusiastic and well-connected Membership Development Consultant to help grow our professional membership throughout the UK construction industry.

The ACQP is the UK’s professional association dedicated specifically to construction quality. We represent construction professionals across quality management, site inspection, building safety, technical compliance, design, project management and the wider built environment.

The opportunity

You will introduce suitable construction professionals to ACQP, explain the benefits of membership and support prospective applicants through the initial enquiry and application process.

This is a flexible, self-employed opportunity that could suit an established construction consultant, business-development professional, industry trainer or someone with a strong network across the built environment.

Your activities will include:

  • Identifying and approaching prospective ACQP members
  • Promoting Professional, Fellow and other appropriate membership grades
  • Developing relationships with construction businesses and industry groups
  • Following up enquiries generated through ACQP campaigns
  • Representing ACQP professionally at meetings and industry events
  • Maintaining accurate records of introductions and applications
  • Working closely with the ACQP Membership Team

The person

We are looking for someone who:

  • Understands the UK construction and built-environment sectors
  • Has experience in membership development, sales or business development
  • Communicates confidently with construction professionals
  • Can build trusted professional relationships
  • Is comfortable working independently and managing their own time
  • Shares ACQP’s commitment to improving quality and professional standards

This is a self-employed, commission-based engagement.
