Do you enjoy winning new business, building lasting relationships and turning conversations into commercial opportunities? Are you equally passionate about creating engaging events that bring professional communities together?

Our client, a leading professional membership organisation, is looking for an ambitious Membership Growth & Events Executive to play a pivotal role in expanding its membership community, increasing commercial income and delivering outstanding member engagement.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining business development with relationship management. Working with organisations across a diverse professional sector, you'll identify new membership opportunities, nurture existing relationships and help deliver a programme of high-quality events that strengthen engagement and support commercial growth.

The Role

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll proactively identify prospective members, build a healthy sales pipeline, promote the value of membership and support initiatives that drive both membership growth and commercial revenue. Alongside this, you'll help deliver a varied programme of events that encourage networking, knowledge sharing and member engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new membership opportunities through proactive business development.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of prospective members using CRM, LinkedIn and direct outreach.
  • Arrange meetings with prospective members and senior decision-makers.
  • Promote the value of membership and convert enquiries into new members.
  • Develop strong relationships with existing members to maximise retention and engagement.
  • Identify opportunities to increase member participation across events, committees and networking activities.
  • Support the development of sponsorship, partnership and commercial opportunities.
  • Assist with generating revenue through events and commercial initiatives.
  • Coordinate conferences, networking events, webinars and member forums.
  • Liaise with speakers, sponsors, venues and suppliers to ensure successful event delivery.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and produce reports on membership activity and pipeline performance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
