Membership Manager

About the Role

A modern luxury wellness brand, recognised by leading lifestyle and business publications, is seeking an exceptional Membership Manager to lead the member experience and become the face of the business for both existing and prospective members. Combining world-class fitness, recovery, nutrition, and community experiences within beautifully designed spaces, the brand is continuing its exciting growth journey with further international expansion underway.

This is a highly visible role responsible for:

  • Delivering best-in-class hospitality
  • Driving membership growth
  • Cultivating a thriving member community

The Basics

  • Salary: £45–50k + OTE
  • Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)
  • Location: West London, 5 days on-site
  • Reporting to: Senior Leadership Team

The Role

The Membership Manager will own the complete member journey, from the first enquiry through to long-term retention. The ideal candidate merges outstanding hospitality with strong commercial acumen, ensuring every member enjoys a seamless, personalised, and luxury experience while contributing to business expansion.

Membership Sales + Business Development

  • Own the end-to-end membership journey:
    • Initial enquiry, studio tour, conversion, onboarding, and long-term engagement.
  • Deliver personalised membership consultations highlighting the brand’s unique offering and premium experience.
  • Proactively manage and nurture:
    • Sales enquiries
    • Trial guests
    • Prospective members
  • Maximise conversion through:
    • Referrals
    • Local partnerships
    • Networking
    • Community outreach
  • Achieve and exceed monthly targets for:
    • Membership sales
    • Retention
    • Revenue
  • Upsell opportunities where appropriate:
    • Additional memberships
    • Treatments
    • Services
  • Monitor sales performance and track:
    • Conversion rates
    • Member trends
  • Provide regular reporting and recommendations to drive growth.

Membership Experience + Retention

  • Build genuine, long-term relationships with members.
  • Develop personalised onboarding journeys for sustained engagement.
  • Proactively monitor member engagement and:
    • Identify retention opportunities
    • Improve member satisfaction
  • Create personalised retention initiatives and outreach programs to boost:
    • Loyalty
    • Lifetime value
  • Gather member feedback to continually enhance the experience.
  • Develop initiatives for:
    • Referral programmes
    • Ambassador programmes (to drive advocacy and sustainable growth).

Community + Partnerships

  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to create an annual community events calendar.
  • Organise on-brand activities that foster engagement:
    • Member socials
    • Wellness workshops
    • Exclusive experiences
  • Build key partnerships with:
    • Local businesses
    • Luxury brands
    • Strategic collaborators (to drive new acquisition).

Marketing + Member Communication

  • Work with the Marketing team to:
    • Support membership acquisition campaigns
    • Strengthen retention and community engagement
  • Own and update the member brochure to reflect:
    • Accurate membership offerings
    • Evolving details
  • Share insights with Marketing:
    • Member feedback
    • Emerging trends
    • Recommendations for campaigns and content
  • Assist in planning and promoting:
    • Member events
    • Launches
    • Seasonal initiatives
  • Ensure all communications align with the brand’s premium tone of voice and customer experience.

  • Proven ability to achieve membership or sales targets.
