ABOUT THE ROLE
Membership Advisors are responsible for achieving or exceeding individual sales goals, renewals, and ancillary service goals by strategically planning their month with outreach, in-club lead generation, and securing member referrals. Under the supervision of a General Manager and within the support of a Regional Manager, Advisors work within a sales team of 3-4 members. They must:
- Display, have knowledge of, and actively participate in all the club's services, programs, and products.
- Keep current on knowledge of key competitors by monitoring trends and comparing facilities and sales trends.
- Build rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members to cultivate strong referrals and retain them.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Seal sales agreements for club memberships.
- Prospect and convert new business and clients.
- Host events and workshops geared towards in-club lead generation.
- Achieve or exceed monthly goals for sales, renewals, and ancillary service sales.
- Undertake pre-planning activities, including strategic outreach and securing member referrals.
- Build strong rapport and lasting relationships with prospective and current members.
- Participate under leadership from the General Manager, supported by a Regional Sales Manager and sales team.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of all membership services, programs, and offerings provided by Equinox.
REQUIREMENTS
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
- An entrepreneurial spirit and drive to succeed independently.
- Familiarity with and ability to thrive in an incentive-based salary model.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proof of an enthusiastic, energetic, personable, and friendly disposition.
- A personal passion for health and fitness.
- Capability to enjoy and excel in a team environment.
- Strong time-management skills coupled with a disciplined work ethic.
- Willingness and ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
Equinox offers a robust compensation and benefits package:
- Base salary, plus earnings primarily through Sales Commission Opportunities:
- No cap commission on new membership sales.
- Commission on renewal membership sales.
- Ancillary services incentive: Spa, Personal Training, Pilates.
- Team sales achievements with additional market and club perks included.
Specifics:
- Base pay range: £26,000-£30,000 annually.
- Variable bonus and commission potential if performance targets are surpassed, bringing total compensation to £61,500-£77,000.
Additional perks: Complimentary club membership, 30–50% discounts on:
- Personal Training.
- Private Pilates.
- Spa and Café services.
- Shop items.
