New Exciting Opportunity for the Role of Mendix Consultant
Location: Derby (Min 3 days working from Office)
Contract Duration: 6 Months
IR35 Status: Inside IR35 (Rate is negotiable as per the experience)
The Role
The Mendix SME would bring broad experience across multiple domains and deep engineering and manufacturing engineering capabilities to engage on projects requiring innovative solutions at the cutting edge digital capabilities.
The SME would be both a Mentor and a Consultant at the same time. As required, he/ she would be expected to formulate/ guide turnkey solutions for our customers’ manufacturing engineering challenges. These challenges span the spectrum of productivity improvements, new product introduction and manufacturing cell design to reducing waste, improving quality and safety, and reducing operating costs amongst others.

As a mentor, the SME will be expected to lead the development of capabilities and mentor future ME leaders. This role may also include leading a team of engineers.
Your Profile
Essential skills/experience:
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles, design patterns, and best practices, with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile methodologies, and basic coding concepts.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to debug and troubleshoot complex issues in Mendix applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Integration with other systems such as OT layer, Cognos, Maximo, PLM, Rest API’s.
- Domain: Aerospace or Manufacturing domain experience
- MoM, MES, CAD, CAM, PLM, ERP user experience will be an added advantage
