Join Our Team
We are looking for an experienced and passionate Menopause Specialist Doctor to join our growing clinical team working in across two sites in Taunton Somerset and Bristol (Portbury). This is an exciting opportunity for a clinician who is committed to delivering exceptional, evidence-based menopause care and improving the health and wellbeing of women through compassionate, personalised consultations.
Please note this is an in-person role, we do not offer remote working only. The position will initially involve a minimum of two clinic sessions per week, with demand and clinic capacity expected to increase, leading to additional sessions becoming available during 2027.
Working within a multidisciplinary team, you will provide expert assessment and management of women experiencing perimenopause, menopause and related hormonal health concerns. You will play an important role in shaping high-quality clinical services while contributing to patient education and the ongoing development of our practice.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based consultations focused on perimenopause, menopause and hormonal health.
- Develop personalised treatment plans, including hormone replacement therapy (HRT), non-hormonal treatments and lifestyle interventions.
- Provide ongoing monitoring, follow-up care and treatment optimisation based on patient outcomes.
- Manage complex clinical cases, recognising when escalation or referral is appropriate.
- Maintain accurate, timely and compliant clinical documentation.
Patient Experience
- Provide clear, empathetic and supportive information to help patients understand their symptoms, treatment options and long-term health considerations.
- Promote shared decision-making and empower patients to make informed choices about their care.
- Deliver an outstanding patient experience through excellent communication and continuity of care.

Clinical Governance
- Practise in accordance with GMC standards and current NICE and British Menopause Society (BMS) guidance.
- Participate in clinical meetings, case discussions, audit and quality improvement activities.
- Contribute to clinical governance through audit, significant event reviews and incident reporting where appropriate.
- Adhere to safeguarding, consent, confidentiality and information governance requirements.
Collaboration & Professional Practice
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including clinicians and administrative colleagues.
- Foster a positive, supportive and learning-focused clinical environment.
- Maintain mandatory training, appraisal, professional registration and continuing professional development.
- Keep up to date with emerging evidence and best practice in menopause medicine and women's health.
- Collaborate with the marketing and communications team to develop and review evidence-based patient information, including educational leaflets, webinars, social media content and other educational resources.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Medical degree (MBBS, MBChB or equivalent).
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and licence to practise.
- Completion of recognised postgraduate clinical training with membership or fellowship of an appropriate Royal College or equivalent professional body (e.g. MRCGP, MRCP, MRCOG or equivalent).
- British Menopause Society (BMS) Advanced Certificate in Menopause Care and recognition as a BMS Menopause Specialist (or working towards specialist recognition with equivalent advanced experience).
- Demonstrable experience managing women with perimenopause and menopause using evidence-based practice.
- Commitment to continuing professional development and clinical excellence.

Desirable Qualifications & Experience
- Additional qualifications or specialist interests in women's health, sexual and reproductive health, endocrinology or lifestyle medicine.
- Experience participating in clinical audit, quality improvement and service development.
