Menswear Designer
Assistant / Junior / Midweight Fashion Designer (DOE)
Manchester | £32,000 DOE | Hybrid (4 days office, 1 day remote)
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join one of the UK’s fastest-growing contemporary fashion brands. Known for its premium, trend-led collections, this business has grown from an independent start-up into a multi-million-pound brand, with ambitious expansion plans ahead.
The team is looking to hire at Assistant, Junior, or Midweight Designer level—ideal for someone seeking to develop within a fast-paced, commercially driven fashion business.
The Role
The Designer will play a key role in developing products from concept to final production, balancing creativity with commercial awareness. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting fashion, consumer, and cultural trend research to inform designs.
- Identifying opportunities through competitor analysis and market research.
- Designing across multiple product categories, focusing on trends, quality, and commercial viability.
- Creating detailed CADs, technical packs, and development documentation.
- Collaborating with Garment Technologists during fittings to refine fit, construction, and quality.
- Working with graphics, branding, and jersey teams (where applicable).
- Researching and sourcing fabrics, trims, and finishes aligned with the premium brand positioning.
- Supporting range planning, seasonal collection development, and sales performance analysis.
- Guiding products through the full development lifecycle, ensuring timelines and deadlines are met.
- Building relationships with suppliers and managing overseas factory collaborations.
- Driving interdisciplinary collaboration with Design, Buying, Product Development, and Garment Technology to deliver high-quality collections.

The Ideal Candidate
The team is looking for a creative, commercially aware designer with a strong passion for product. Essential experience and skills include:

- Previous experience in fashion design (Assistant, Junior, or Midweight level).
- Proficiency in CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and product development tools.
- Experience in creating technical packs and managing product lifecycles.
- A deep understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, and premium market trends.
- Strong organisational and communication skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Authentic enthusiasm for fashion and product development.
